John Shatswell is President of Western Drywall. He has over 35 years of construction experience behind him. After graduating from University of California—Fresno with a degree in Construction Management he went to work on before coming back to work at Western Drywall alongside his father, Cecil Shatswell, and his brother Kevin. Mr. Shatswell’s construction experience extends beyond metal stud framing and drywall. He has managed countless large construction projects from the ground up, including developing and subdividing land for residential use, designing and constructing business parks, Mr. Shatswell is well-known in the construction community in the Central Valley and has established relations with most of the large builders in the area. KEVIN SHATSWELL
CEO
Kevin Shatswell is the CEO of Western Drywall. Mr. Shatswell started the company with his father, Cecil Shatswell, back in 1971. At the time, Western Drywall was a small residential drywall contractor. Kevin and his father worked with a small crew and did a lot of the work themselves. Besides managing various projects for the company and doing a bit of estimating when the need arises, Mr. Shatswell oversees the company’s financial operations. He works with our accounting team, banks, and vendors to make sure the company’s operations are adequately financed and that the company has the capital it needs to continue growing. Keith Hall is our head field superintendent. Mr. Hall has been with the company since 2005 but has been working in the drywall industry for over 40 years. He started out as a residential drywall finisher fresh out of high school but now is experienced in all facets of the drywall business—from metal stud framing through texturing walls by hand. Timothy Ribeiro is Western Drywall’s head estimator. Mr. Ribeiro has been with the company for over 30 years. He started out in the field as a drywall installer and finisher but quickly rose up the ranks to project manager and has been the head estimator for the company for the past 10 years. Mr. Ribeiro has been at the center of Western Drywall’s largest projects. He brings of level of professionalism and careful thinking to our team that is immediately noticed and appreciated by all who deal with him. Sharlet Apram is controller of Western Drywall. Ms. Apram has been with the company since 2006. She oversees our accounting team and works with upper management to ensure that our projects are adequately financed and on budget. Ms. Aparm started working at Western Drywall shortly after immigrating to the U.S. from Iraq. She is fluent in four languages and holds an accounting degree from the University of Mosul.
